Where to buy cute fabrics and what to sew with them.

This past week I was in kind of a grumpy mood, so I decided to cheer myself up with a little bit of fabric shopping. I headed to hobby lobby because it was one of the closest stores, to me, that sells cute fabric.

When I first starting sewing, I really didn’t know where to shop for cute fabric. I mostly shopped at Joann Fabric. Eventually I learned that there were a ton of cute fabric shops online and now I mainly do most of my fabric shopping there. However, at the time, I didn’t realize that Hobby Lobby has such a cute fabric selection.

I didn’t have a specific project in mind. I kind of just grabbed everything that matched the color palette of those rainbows and any pretty florals that caught my attention. If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know that I am kind of a sucker for floral fabrics. I’m obsessed with everything that I found in this trip and needed to sew right away.

I used my snap-n-go mini wallet pattern and made a few card wallets. If you wanted to make your own you can find the pattern here.

I really loved how they all turned out. I added them to my Etsy shop if you don’t sew and just want to snag a wallet for yourself.

I was also inspired to make some hand tied hair bows. Sometimes, when I see fabric, I’m inspired to create something specific. That rainbow fabric kind of just called me to make some hairbows. These are now in my kid Etsy shop that I just reopened!

I hope you enjoyed all the fun things I made with these cute fabrics!
